Peshawar: Fourteen Taliban fighters were killed and six more injured when gunship helicopters pounded militant positions in the lawless Orakzai tribal region of northwest Pakistan today, security officials said.
Four militant hideouts were also destroyed in the air strikes in Kot Killay and Khadizai areas of Orakzai Agency.
Security forces also launched an operation against militants in Torkanri, Narek and Mazidgarhi areas and seized a huge quantity of explosives.
